Truth Pharm has many presentations available for the community and/or family groups to help relieve the stress, frustration, and worry associated with a loved one’s substance use. Presentations can be tailored to suit any venue or size of the audience. Topics include the Science of Addiction, Understanding Cravings, Triggers and Reuse, different modalities for recovery from SUD, mechanisms of medicated assisted therapy (MAT) in treating SUDs, stigma and changing the language, barriers to treatment, navigating the criminal justice system, and other topics as listed under Clearing the Confusion. This program is currently being studied in order to prove its effectiveness. Once the study is complete, we will develop a Train the Trainer for this program to allow other agencies to deliver the program. Stay tuned!

Truth Pharm is proud to offer Shawna Has a Secret: an innovative educational program originally developed by LEAF and modified according to Truth Pharm’s Harm Reduction values. This interactive program brings Shawna’s bedroom to audiences to explore and allow adults to identify items that could indicate that a young person is using substances. After the hands-on exploration of the room, a presentation is provided to teach participants about what they may have found or missed in Shawna’s room and most importantly, how to have a conversation with a young person about substance use to reduce harms and risks.
