Starting in January, Truth Pharm will be offering another opportunity for community education via Zoom.
Clearing the Confusion is a 10-week educational program developed to help unravel the mysteries of substance use and addiction (Substance Use Disorder). It was developed for family members who have a loved one who struggles with chaotic substance use, and it is beneficial for people who use drugs, people in recovery and people who interface with people who use drugs.
Topics include but are not limited to: recognizing the signs and symptoms of problematic substance use and how to approach a loved one, changing language and utilizing motivational interviewing for non-confrontational discussions, the science of addiction, overdose recognition and Naloxone use, setting healthy boundaries and ensuring self-care for loved ones, and navigating the criminal justice system as it relates to substance use.
