Kimberly (Kim) Durkee is a Registered Nurse and has worked for over 30 years in various settings especially in Workers’ Compensation, Nursing Homes and Home Care.  She works at UHS as a Nurse Case Manager for Workers Compensation. She provides education, directions and care for an injured worker, employer and the carrier. She follows on appointments and care for the injured workers to return them back to work. She also supervises at Bridgewater and Vestal Park Nursing Homes. She provides assessment for problems, acute medical issues, falls, injuries and other concerns. She problem solves multiple issues with families, residents, staff, buildings and other concerns. She is a co-chair of the Nursing Professional Development Council with UHS.

Kim graduated from Kaplan University in September 2010, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Kim graduated in May 1986 from Broome Community College with Associates of Applied Science in Nursing.  Kim is a Certified Nurse Case Manager.

Kim’s passion is to always help people with various needs and with various populations. Substance Use Disorder is a growing problem that is seen in all areas of her profession. She provides education and resources to those who come to her for help and direction. She has been a Truth Pharm Board member since January 2023. She advocates for changes with programs for substance use disorder and mental health, follow up care and recognizing stigma in health care settings.
